Georgia is capturing a fleeting moment; a memory only partially recorded, but still available for exploration. Colors and shapes become a harmonious mass of texture with just hints pointing to the source.
She is currently working primarily in artist oils, using cold-pressed wax as a medium. She enjoys the tactile quality the wax lends her work as well as the visual weight it takes on. This weight gives her an extra dimension to explore in the process and is present in the finished piece.
Having always identified as an artist, Georgia is primarily self-taught. Parenting two great people into adulthood, she has also worked in visual industries for the past 30 years, first as a stylist in commercial photography and currently, as a designer for digital media.
