May 1 – 31
True Story is a collection of narratives that bring awareness to the reality behind the foster care system. Shortened from “Based on a true story” the concept of the show stems from the need for these critical discussions.
May is National Foster Care Awareness Month. Representing the significance of the art and lives of the artist, this show will serve as a platform to begin the critical conversations around all of our collective truths. True Story will represent multiple sides of the system including: how it actually feels to foster a child, the truth behind the statistics, and what is home? This show is not about trauma this show is about love.
