Anthony Williams
Williams is the Artistic Director of The Iruke Project, a multimedia performance company devoted to social justice and sustainable communities. His most recent work, “Ritual 4 Re-Entry: Hope, Faith & Healing for the Formerly Incarcerated,” brought together a performance artist, a prisoner re-entry expert, a mindfulness trainer and a singer-songwriter to interact with audiences. Anthony is also part of the psychedelic power-pop band OLOKUN, a collaboration between Anthony and Winston Berger. Williams and Berger met while attending the Arts & Consciousness Program at John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, where they explored sound art, contemporary ritual and multimedia performance. OLOKUN is named after the Orisha of the ocean depths, and Survival Kit, their debut EP, will drop in mid-2016.
