Grove Salon, soon-to-be celebrating its second year on Solano Ave in June 2016, offers expert hair services in an award-winning design space. Salon owners Chris and Christina initially came upon the idea of starting a business together over a shared admiration for entrepreneurial endeavors. And the spirit and soul of the Albany, Solano Avenue community seemed to present itself as the ideal locale.
Salon owner Christina Lameraner is an expert hairdresser, and has been practicing her craft in the Bay Area for the last ten years. She believes a person’s hair should reflect who they are as a person, which is why they have taken great care to create and curate a modern, timeless atmosphere for their clients and stylists to relax while they perfect their looks.
Skilled craftsmen built the salon, including its beautiful white-oak wall, using high-quality materials and finishes, which offers a special glass-walled ventilated room for keratin treatments.
Clients describe Grove Salon- which offers complimentary fresh-ground coffee and espressos, wine and biscotti- as an “urban retreat.”
But the principle reason customers return to the site is simply because Grove Salon provides undisputed expertise in hair care: styling, coloring, straightening or blow-drying. Almost all of the salon’s color is ammonia free, and it uses only what it considers to be the best products on the market. The salon also offers a selection of hair care and beauty products for purchase, including items by Shu Uemura, Kérastase, R & Co, and Smith and Cult, as well as a local line of stylish and affordable handcrafted jewelry. Christina is passionate about continuing education, and has chosen to create and grow Grove as a premier training salon with a team of highly skilled, wonderfully friendly stylists.
